Our Story
Shyam Halwai opened its doors in 1945, in a time when mithai was made slowly and lovingly, with milk fresh from the village and cardamom ground that morning. Eighty years later, three generations on, we still do it that way.
Every gujiya is folded by hand. Every pedha is pressed with the same wooden mould our grandfather used. Our milkmen come at dawn — we know each of them by name — and the mawa is checked, weighed and tested before a single sweet is made.
"We know you love the sweets."
"Apki pasand, humara swaad."
Welcome to Shyam Halwai. Whether you are dropping in for a kilo of milk cake, sending a box of laddu to family, or ordering monthly milk for your home — we are honoured to serve you, just as we served your parents and grandparents.
